Animating

The hardest part about trying to do animation is.......

Drawing it frame by frame. That's it. That's the hardest part. It takes time, patience, focus...it's not an easy thing to do. Before drawing tablets, animation programs, and our lovely computers came around, everything was done by paper and a light table. I don't like going over a certain amount of layers but I will have too if I want to animate Chibi's World.
Here's my advice to you, my fellow artists:
- Only try animation when you are willing to devote time to do it.
- Take breaks between a certain amount of frames.
- Know what you wish to animate. (Including character designs.)
- Know the motions for certain scenarios such as jumping or running.
- Study tutorials. It is not promised that tutorials will make you an awesome animator, but they work great as guides.
- Watch other animations in slow motion. Study how they did it.
- And don't lose hope. Even if you fail the first few times. Practicing does help a lot and there is always a way.
Remember! Anything is possible when you set your mind to it.
